From the moment we arrived at their home (a small bed and breakfast) we felt welcomed. We learned a stuffed chili relleno, cactus salad, guacamole and a salsa with pumpkin seed powder in it. All were quite delicious and thanks to Daniel easy to prepare. If you want to learn some unique regional Mexican cooking from a great chef, patient teacher in a friendly and warm environment this is the place.

Shota and his family were really fantastic hosts-- from the moment I arrived at their stunning, plant-filled Mtasminda apartment, I was greeted with lovely music and conversation and learned to make pkhali and lobio, while regaled with homemade lemonade. Couldn't recommend more!

I'm a frequent traveler who always tries to do a cooking class in every country I visit and...I can confidently say that this class probably tops every other one I've experienced so far. I would HIGHLY recommend this class if you're in PV even just for a couple days, it is a genuine, authentic and epic experience that would please any food aficionado that is curious about what PROPER Mexican food should taste like.

Shota is an engaging young man and excellent host. It was so enriching to experience a slice of Georgian life and hear the perspectives of a bright young twenty-something person (we are in our sixties). We stayed for several hours sharing stories, music and food. This was our first Traveling Spoon experience and we were completely delighted.

My sister and I had a truly amazing and enjoyable time shopping and creating a meal from scratch...Lin makes you feel very comfortable and empowers you to traditionally prepare the region's cuisine. We are both Gluten Free and she conferred with us at length to determine what menu we should make...truly one of the most memorable parts of our trip.

We had a great afternoon/evening and a fantastic meal that was the highlight of the trip food-wise. Lin and Rain were so wonderfully friendly and helpful introducing us to the cuisine as well as the culture and it was a spectacular way to kick off our trip, feeling like we were visiting friends in a country where we don't actually have any.

My friend and I had a great time with this cooking experience during our short stay in Modena. We sat and talked for a good while after we all had our super delicious meal, just learning more about Italian cuisine and talking about their culture. They are great to talk to, and they definitely know what they are doing because that handmade bolognese pasta is the BEST I’ve ever eaten!

The time spent with Masao and Bonnie in their home near Nara remains one of the highlights of our month in Japan. Masao is a great cook and teacher and Bonnie is endlessly helpful, but the most important part of the experience for us was the opportunity to enjoy meaningful conversation over shared food -- a deep sense of connection, even communion, together.

The market experience was amazing...Aoy gave us a lesson on local herbs and vegetables, particularly ones that we were going to use in our cooking...We were then taken on a 15 minute ride boat to her riverfront restaurant where we then had a relaxing tea-break (with specialties of the house) before our cooking classes started. The classes themselves were sooo good and we highly recommend the personal and thoughtful attention we were shown.
