I loved cooking and chatting with Diep and hanging out with her parents as well. Diep is a lovely person, very easy to talk with. And she did a nice job including me in the preparation of our meal and explaining all the ingredients and preparations. We had so much delicious food! Overall a fabulous way to enjoy Danang food and culture.
Incredible food with an interesting and cultural experience. Dewa showed us his compound and provided insight into his life and culture. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to experience a true Balinese lifestyle.
I very rarely leave reviews, but was really blown away by this experience. It’s a must do for anyone who wants to experience the art of pasta making and cooking in Italy. Our host Cinzia was incredibly nice, highly knowledgeable and a great teacher and chef. Overall, this was one of the most memorable parts of our trip.
We were in food Heaven. Jacqueline went above and beyond our expectations. We LOVED every single thing, not one dish failed to impress. She was prepared for our cooking class visit and all dishes were precut with ingredients easily accessible. Her environment is clean and the food is so natural and healthy with all the herbs and lemons coming from her garden. Healthy, authentic, and delicious!
We had the best day with Chef Ray. He went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. I was impressed that he paid great attention to the finer details. Overall a lovely man who was extremely hospitable.
My wife and I were lucky enough to have dinner with Sandro and his wife. Sandro works at the Cordon Bleu so his food was splendid. As my wife is vegan and I am vegetarian, he expertly created a menu that worked for us covering vegan takes on Peruvian dishes. I would highly recommend booking any of the experiences he offers.
The family were very friendly and welcoming. We learned a lot about the food culture also they made us know about their food secrets which was great. We loved every minute and we will definitely do it again.
AMAZING class with Srividya and incredible service from Traveling Spoon. Srividya was amazing and had a beautiful home. Mum and I had eaten SO much Indian food at this point, and already had a decent background in Indian cuisine, so we had a lot of suggestions for what we wanted to cook and Srividya blew us away by showing us EVERYTHING!
Ray was a fantastic host, and a great chef! He shared his fantastic garden, his extensive wine collection, as well as his knowledge of foods and cooking. He also has an amazing eclectic collection of art throughout his home. Since our time with him I have also been acutely aware of my knife skills :-) He has a great knowledge of using herbs/spices as opposed to salt/pepper for seasoning delicious fresh foods.
Antonio was excellent, friendly and cooked a great meal with us! We took detailed notes during our experience and cooked his meal again for our travelling companions later during our vacation (everyone loved it). Antonio shared that he really enjoyed his Traveling Spoon experiences because he was able to cook in the kitchen and talk directly to his clients, both of which he does not get to do consistently during his regular work as an executive chef. He has a true passion for cooking and teaching.
