The sweet and friendly Anu is a Parsi married to a South Indian Brahmin, so her menu spans several regions. She cooks vegetarian food that is light, simple and incredibly fresh. Join Anu to cook together her favorite South Indian dishes from the state of Karnataka, in Southern India. You will learn to make a spice powder and bisibele bhath, a one pot dish that has lentils, rice, vegetables and spices all cooked together, as a spicy-tangy meal.

3/4 cup (150g) uncooked rice
