Fusina is a warm, open and welcoming Dutch host who loves to meet new people and learn about their culture. Fusina used to be the organizer of the Dutch cookbook competition and has authored many cookbooks about Dutch cuisine. A delightful storyteller, Fusina enjoys teaching travelers how to make signature Dutch food that is relished throughout the country. In this class she is excited to share with you all about Sinterklaas, also known as Saint Nicholas, a friend of the Dutch children. In mid-November a man with a red cape and a long white beard, arrives on on a steam boat filled with gifts. All the Dutch children await him excitedly by leaving a shoe by the hearth before going to bed, to find a little gift from Sinterklaas in it, the next morning!
