Your host Silvia
Silvia has been a tour guide since 2000, and she enjoys sharing stories about Ravenna, where she grew up, with her travelers. Silvia has always loved cooking, since she was a child helping her grandmother in the kitchen to make handmade pasta and piadina (a typical traditional bread of Romagna). Her grandmother taught her to cook traditional dishes from the Emilia Romagna region. She fondly remembers the simple, fresh and delicious meals at her grandparents’ home, and that is the kind of experience she wishes to replicate for her travelers! Silvia and her boyfriend, who she met 15 years ago, love experimenting in the kitchen and creating new recipes. Apart from cooking, she is also very passionate about art, especially the mosaic technique. In your online cooking class you will learn to make pici all'aglione, a Tuscan hand-rolled pasta in a tomato and garlic sauce.

"We had so much fun with Silvia in the hand-rolled pasta class! She made the experience so much fun, taught us a lot about the history of the dish, and helped us with our (poor) Italian. We will definitely take another class with her!"
