We had a great time visiting Ashkay’s house and cooking with his wife and mum. The food was delicious and we will certainly be trying our new skills out at home now. It was great to join Ashkay and family to eat what we’d cooked and learn some more about Indian culture and life.

I had an amazing time on this cooking tour led by William and his wonderful mother, who was the cook. From the moment I was picked up, I felt welcomed and excited for the experience. The tour was truly a personalized and private cooking class, and getting to cook inside a traditional mud house with a local family made it all the more special. William and his mother were fantastic teachers, guiding me through the process of making several traditional Tanzanian dishes, including ugali (a thick porridge made from cornmeal), green banana stew, and a delicious meat stew. Cooking with them felt less like a class and more like a collaboration, and I learned so much about the ingredients and techniques used in Tanzanian cuisine. After the class, we all sat down to enjoy the feast we had prepared. The food was hearty and incredibly flavorful, and it was a real treat to share a meal with William and his family. The tour concluded with drinks and a tasty peanut brittle for dessert. This was more than just a cooking class; it was a warm, homey, and authentic cultural experience that I'll never forget. I highly recommend it!

What a wonderful experience! Our family of 5 all agreed this was one of our favorite experiences while in Chennai. Gayathri was so lovely and we enjoyed the time in her home kitchen with she and her husband. She answered all of our questions and showed how to make 4 dishes that we ate! So happy we were able to do this.

From arranging the taxi for us from our hotel to her home, walking us across a crazy busy Saigon roundabout, through the market, to explaining and cooking the beautiful food, Lan Anh was a wonderfull host. Friendly and informative, we learnt much about what life in modern Vietnam is really like, and the food was a bonus. Delightful!

We had Sunday brunch with Nate and Kristen. Delicious! Mimosas, egg and sausage skillet, most amazing buttermilk biscuits, and homemade doughnuts with fresh cream and peaches! What a great couple... we really enjoyed meeting them! They are excellent hosts and great conversationalists. We even had a brief visit from Princess Filomena :)

We had a wonderful time with Vidhya today. Thanks her for the kind hospitality! We really enjoy her food and her cooking class. She mad sure we understood the receipts, and she demonstrated how simple can Indian food be e prepared. The food was really delicious. We strongly recommend this class.

What an incredible experience to capstone my 2 week trip to India! Being invited into the experience from my friend, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly satisfied with every step of the journey. Our hostess, Vandana, and her family provided such a warm experience, I never felt anything but relaxed. They live in a newly developed, very modern condo that overlooks areas soon to be transformed by the rapid development of Delhi's middle class. It was a glimpse into the modernization of the city and at the same time the traditional dishes served (which we helped to prepare!) provided an incredible sense of adventure and comfort.We ended up really connecting with Vandana and her family and staying for hours after the meal! It was truly special to see all the culture wrapped around the cuisine and be invited into such an intimate atmosphere. I would highly recommend adding a Travel Spoon experience to anyone's itinerary. The experience of learning how to cook like a local, in their home provided the best deep dive into a culture one could hope for.

Overall my experience was really great. Shilpa and her husband were really welcoming and we had some great interactions. The food was really amazing and Shilpa seemed really dedicated at showing off Indian Punjabi food.

Monica and her family were amazing hosts!!! Super friendly and welcoming made us feel very comfortable from the beginning of our meeting. The food was plenty but most important delicious!! Exactly what we hoped for a home made meal!!
