Pratibha is an award-winning cookbook writer. Her first book "Cooking at Home with Pedatha" won the Best Vegetarian Cookbook in the world. She calls herself a spiritual and creative cook and focuses on healthy vegetarian cooking. She specializes in three Indian cuisines: Ayurvedic, North Indian Rajasthani and South Indian Andhra cooking. She lives in a traditional home in Mylapore, Chennai.

Pratibha cooks healthy, balanced vegetarian food. As you enter her beautiful home, enjoy a homemade lime mint cooler spiked with guavas, apples or grapes. Then you will sit down to eat a healthy vegetarian meal that focuses on local, seasonal vegetables and lentils. She believes in balanced tastes, for example, the sweetness of carrots in her soup is balanced by the earthy flavors of cloves and coriander. As you share a meal together, hear about the various properties of the ingredients she uses and how they benefit the body and mind. This home dining experience in Chennai is unique and memorable - you get to visit a local home and meet an award-winning cookbook author to share Indian culture and cuisine.
When making your booking, please state your choice of cuisine among these three: an Ayurvedic meal or South Indian Andhra thali or Rajasthani meal.
Cooking experience: (2-10 guests) Join Pratibha in her kitchen to learn about her culinary traditions. In your Chennai cooking class you will prepare a few healthy, vegetarian dishes focusing on local, seasonal vegetables and lentils.

If you have even the slightest curiosity about Ayurvedic cuisine, you will want to book a meal with Pratibha. You will taste a variety of dishes prepared consciously using Ayurvedic principles to be delicious, balanced and full of nourishment and vitality. I felt very welcome and at home.
