Payal was first inspired in the kitchen by her grandmother, who was a wonderful home cook. In her later years her grandmother couldn't see well so she cooked by touch, measuring the spices and ingredients with her hands and checking doneness by feel. Payal's passion for handmade home food grew as she started a family of her own and now she shares her love of seasonal cooking with both her young sons and guests at her homestay.

"Meeting Payal and cooking with her was such a pleasure for our family! She was incredibly friendly and engaging, and so supportive and helpful as we made the recipe together--it felt like she was right there in our kitchen with us! She was so good with our kids and they had so much fun. Her guidance on the ingredients, substitutions, and techniques was really helpful and fascinating to learn. The meal was incredibly flavorful, and we've continued to make it numerous times since. Our family had such a joyful and memorable experience with Payal--we learned so much and are looking forward to taking another class with her again soon!"
