WHAT WILL YOU COOK TOGETHER:
  • Pastel de Feira, fair pastry dough stuffed with meat and cheese stuffing

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 tbsp Brazilian cachaça or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp corn oil
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 boiled egg, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tbsp green olives, sliced
  • 2 tbsp corn or sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp ripe red tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ lb ground meat (not fat)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup mozzarella, chopped
  • 2 tbsp red tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ cup fresh milk cream
  • 1 milk chocolate bar
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp refined sugar
  • 1 cup corn or sunflower oil
  • 1 red tomato
  • 1 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Clovis is excited to virtually take you to the streets of Brazil and learn to make two delicious Pastel de Feira, stuffed Brazilian pastry dough, and a tangy vinaigrette dressing! Clovis learned how to cook traditional Brazilian food from his family when he was young. This passion for food then led him to study gastronomy at Sao Paulo's Mackenzie University. He previously owned a restaurant in the city and now cooks for select private groups in his own house. Clovis has a doctorate in toxicology and even received an award from the city of São Paulo in 2018 for his academic work about oriental regional food.
