  • 1 lb. (500g) seer fish, cut into thick chunks
  • 5-6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, finely chopped
  • 2-4 green chili (long ones), sliced
  • 1-inch piece of cinnamon
  • 1 sprig of curry leaves
  • 1 pandan leaf or lemon or bay leaf
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 big onion, cut into rings
  • 2 cups (250ml) coconut milk
  • Coconut oil as you need
  • 1 1/2 cup raw rice
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • ½-inch piece of cinnamon
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2-3 green cardamoms
  • 1 tbsp ghee or butter
  • 1 sprig of curry leaves
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • Water
  • Salt as per taste
